Hey Rebecca! Quick question for you. I am getting married in a year in Brooklyn – hooray! I need a good recommendation for a restaurant who: a) can accommodate 50 people seated on a Sunday night b) could do a family-style big shared proteins/vegetables dishes and c) has a great wine list. (Optional d: is made by crazy passionate people, not a huge soulless restaurant group.) We strongly prefer Brooklyn, but could be convinced to go to Manhattan if the place is right. Any ideas?

Congratulations! I’m going to reply to this publicly in case anyone else has some good recommendations.

Off the top of my head - I’d start by looking into Frankies 457 (great food and they have a beautiful and separate backyard/back room that would be great for a small private reception), The Vanderbilt (I don’t know much about their wine list but they have good beer and cocktails and you might be able to bring in your own wine if you don’t like their options), or Saul for something a little fancier. I’ve never been to the River Cafe but I hear they rent their private garden for events.

Hope that helps!
